Objets trouvés or 'found objects' are the things we find on streets, in bins, in attics, at charity and brick-a-brac shops, garage and boot sales.They are free or pretty inexpensive and for for some reason or another we are attracted to them, interested in shape, texture, colour...their stories and history.
Research completed in 2010 (see below) provided insights into the personal and social significance of found objects and preliminary research has indicated they may be useful in mental health care.
